Colas Environnement is committed to a Research and Development (R&D) approach aimed at meeting the needs of the market while respecting the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In a context of growing environmental challenges, the company collaborates with organizations such as BRGM and IPGP to develop innovative solutions, supported by ADEME and national and European funding.

R&D projects, managed by the Pollution Control Expertise Laboratory (LED), are rigorously selected to ensure their alignment with the company's strategic priorities. The results include several patents and processes, for example to promote the extraction of supernatants, to improve biotertre treatment by vectorizing nutrients using foams, or to allow the use of coffee grounds as fertilizer, illustrating a circular economy approach.

Colas Environnement is also continuing its R&D work on the extraction, concentration and destruction of PFAS, a theme on which the company has been working for more than 5 years. This work has resulted in patent pending innovations, thus consolidating COLAS Environnement's leading position in the field of sustainability and innovation.
