Engineering, Design & Realization
Colas Environnement's Design & Construction division supports local agencies in the design of rehabilitation projects.

Turnkey design
The updating of the national methodology for the management of polluted sites and soils (SSP) in 2017 constitutes a major advance in this field, by introducing a new decisive step: the work design plan (PCT). The latter aims to secure technical pollution control operations through feasibility and sizing tests in the laboratory and in the field.
The Design and Construction (C&R) division at COLAS Environnement was created to respond to these developments. It relies on a team of multidisciplinary experts who design rehabilitation strategies and manage R&D projects in partnership with international research laboratories. It also includes a technical tool: the Pollution Control Expertise Laboratory (LED) dedicated to laboratory tests.
The role of the C&R division is to support private and public contractors, by carrying out all the missions relating to the management of a polluted site: design studies and depollution work.
Today, COLAS Environnement enjoys established recognition among the main players in the sector.
Laboratory tests/Pilot tests
The tests proposed by Colas Environnement are part of the work design plan (PCT) detailed in the national methodology for the management of polluted sites and soils.
In the design study phase, these tests make it possible to understand any residual uncertainties, to secure the selected proposals and to avoid questioning the management plan during the work.
In the implementation phase, these tests make it possible to refine the sizing and thus optimize the duration and limit the costs of the work.
Biological, physical and chemical treatment tests on any type of matrix (B111) make it possible to establish the pollution control strategy by validating or not the feasibility of one or more techniques.

Volatilization tests
Chemical tests
Biological tests
Leaching/soil washing tests
Particle size sorting
Thermal desorption test
...
Pilots are the backbone of effective treatment.
They make it possible, on the one hand, to assess the effectiveness of the technique tested and, on the other hand, to size the solution on a global scale (flow, pressure, temperature, radiation, radiation, quantity of filtering media, quantity of filtering media, electrical consumption, electrical consumption, quality of discharges, etc.). Our skids are custom designed by our teams and adapted to all contexts and all environmental issues.
