Our commitments
Colas Environnement is committed to the protection of individuals and their environment.

Sustainable development challenges
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is not a trend, it is a groundswell.
Social cohesion, climate change, preservation of resources and biodiversity, improvement of the living environment... The expectations and motivations of stakeholders, especially employees of the Colas Group and Colas Environnement, are very strong.
Colas Environnement responds to this thanks to its human-centered culture, combined with its values of respect, audacity and sharing, but also to the proximity of its establishments to the territories, to its capacity for innovation...
Our approach
Colas Environnement's social responsibility approach is based on the double conviction that its businesses contribute to the satisfaction of essential needs and aspirations and that they can and should be carried out in a responsible manner. Colas Environnement must integrate contemporary expectations and contradictions: social cohesion, climate change, climate change, loss of biodiversity, preservation of resources, needs to move and to live, improvement of the living environment, energy transition, resource management, increasing ethical expectations, etc.
This approach as well as the associated goals and actions are consistent with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Half of these objectives relate directly to the businesses of the Colas Group and therefore to Colas Environnement, in particular on the following themes: access to health, gender equality, use of renewable energies, access to decent jobs, innovation and infrastructure, innovation and infrastructure, innovation and infrastructure, sustainable cities and infrastructures, sustainable cities and communities, sustainable cities and communities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption, responsible consumption, fight against climate change, and protection of fauna and flora.

Challenges based on notions of risks and opportunities
Colas Environnement is implementing this approach around several major challenges based on concepts of risks and opportunities, whether it is a question of the specificities of its businesses or a requirement for progress common to companies in all sectors of activity.
Colas Environnement identifies the strengths and weaknesses of its management system in order to identify risks and opportunities. Identifying these risks and opportunities makes it possible to prioritize the actions to be put in place.
Controlling these risks and opportunities also allows Colas Environnement to reduce adverse events and enhance the desirable effects of its activities.
These elements make it possible to set performance objectives that are relevant to the context of the company and to put in place the means necessary to achieve these objectives.
Continuous improvement
Colas Environnement carries out permanent and sustainable action plans to improve these processes, by strengthening assets and good practices that generate value and by eliminating dysfunctions.
Colas Environnement reassesses its integrated practices and questions its processes continuously in order to make the company evolve in a sustainable manner. The objective of this approach is to boost performance at all levels of the organization, to capitalize on corporate know-how, to reduce costs, to improve the efficiency, productivity and profitability of the company.

The ACT business project
Act & Commit Together
In 2020, CSR became an ambitious and demanding business project called ACT, for Act & Commit Together, around Colas Environnement's 8 CSR commitments to its stakeholders.
For nearly 20 years, a social responsibility approach integrating the main challenges of sustainable development has been initiated, and wherever we are located, the men and women of Colas Environnement already participate in multiple local initiatives.
Today, ACT must make it possible to better coordinate, share and communicate on these actions in a concrete and transparent way with objectives and indicators to measure the progress made.

Governance
The CSR Department leads and deploys the ACT project. Each of the 8 CSR commitments is led by a project manager who ensures the deployment of its roadmap in collaboration with school heads and CSR correspondents in operational units. Each business unit is then responsible for deploying actions and monitoring their progress.
All Colas Environnement teams are fully mobilized to implement the eight CSR commitments made by the company and the Colas group.
